Shireen H. Parsi is a lifelong resident of Montgomery County, Maryland where she attended John F. Kennedy High School in Silver Spring.  She attended High Point University in High Point, North Carolina earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 2006 and went on to earn her Juris Doctor at The Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan in 2010.  While in law school, Ms. Parsi was active in the Student Bar Association, serving as member of the Board of Directors working to provide a better law school experience for students.  Additionally, she spent time in Katrina-torn New Orleans during the summer of 2007, involved with disaster relief legal work, canvassing neighborhoods in the lower Ninth Ward and helping clients clear title to devastated homes.

During her last year of law school, Ms. Parsi had the opportunity to intern at the Michigan Attorney Grievance Commission in downtown Detroit, Michigan.   She spent much time researching not only legal ethics but numerous legal issues associated with unethical conduct.   Ms. Parsi was able to work directly on all aspects of the discipline proceedings of the City of Detroit lawyers involved in the Mayor Kilpatrick scandal.  Additionally, she worked with bar counsel to protect clients from deceased, incapacitated or absconded attorneys.  Ms. Parsi, through bar counsel, would receive and review subject attorney’s client files.
